The challenge

The main challenge was reproducing the veins, knots and imperfections of oak wood. To achieve this fidelity to wooden texture and visual, a meticulous and artisanal work was necessary involving specialized sculpting techniques. Capturing the essence of wood with precision using plaster requires a high level of expertise and technical knowledge.

The solution

Attention to detail and quality was fundamental, from creating the piece to the finishing touches.

The robust structural design, where the thickness of the pieces and shape of the table feet were carefully calculated to assure stability and durability. The table top, for instance, was designed with a thickness of 60mm which gives it stability while not compromising the aesthetic. Furthermore, the piece’s total weight (30kg) shows that there was special attention given to structural balance so the table could support daily usage.
